A wireless communication network refers to any type of network that is not connected by cables of any kind. Wireless communication networks are generally put into operation and deal with any transmission system. Wireless technology is an effective option to save the cost of installation of cable mediums, save time from physical installation, and also creates mobility for devices connected to the network. Therefore, efforts have been made to analyze reliability of a Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) network i.e., wireless communication network. OFDM is a modulation technique which is now used in most new and emerging broadband wired and wireless communication systems. Reliability is concerned to meet the specified probability of success at a specified level. For the OFDM network, reliability means probability of success of transmission between source node and destination node. The need for speed and reliability in wireless local area networks is being constantly increasing. The IEEE 802.11n standard aims to offer better data rates and performance by OFDM. This new standard is the first one to use OFDM in packet-based communications. The IEEE 802.11 n standard allows theoretical data rates of up to 270 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band or 300 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. But these higher rates are limited to 54 Mbps. So, our work has been limited to the data rates 6 up to 54 Mbps. The service rates for OFDM network link have been taken into account as discrete variable. The china education and research network (CERNET) is studied for developing an algorithm. The enhanced transmission time of OFDM signal packet or expected communication time between source nodes to destination node has been achieved using developed algorithm. Genetic algorithm has also been used to optimize discrete service band of the network link to achieve high availability of OFDM signal packet transmissionen_US
