Issue Date: 2011
Abstract: Direct Torque Control is the latest AC drive Technology.DTC drive allows direct and independent control of flux linkage and electromagnetic torque by the selection of optimum inverter switching modes. This method is considered as an alternative to the field oriented control. This method allows high dynamic performance of the machine with very simple control schemes. This dissertation presents the implementation of the above control method using MATLAB/SIMULINK model. The results in various conditions have been presented. This work then presents some of the improvements in the above method. This includes improvements in DTC using sophisticated tables and then using Fuzzy logic based systems.
