dc.description.abstract | In preparing this volume, the attempt has been made by the author to treat the entire subject of coagulation in a systematic manner, as represented by the engineers and the chemists, in the field of water treatment works.,/ Coagulation in a Water Treatment is a very complicated phenomena comprising a number of variables. / The coagulants added are necessary for the coagulation to take place; while the impurities present in water affect the phenomena too muc1 ~;` and.,design of flocculation basins improves the efficiency of.4he Vrocess. Uptil now these factors were and are the objects of investigation in this field. Each plays an important role separately in the coagulation process and thus each is dealt with separately in each chapter: The second chapter gives the theoretical aspect of this subject, which is followed by ano er two chapters which discuss the chemical flocculation in/Light of properties of water and coagulants added respectively. The fifth chapter is devoted for the design of flocculation basins or flocculators. | en_US |
