Abstract: | This work presents the main results of a sinusoidal and random acceleration controller designed for acceleration control of an electrodynamic shaker. Vibration testing is performed to provide the test item vibration environments expected in its shipment and application environment. Purpose of vibration testing is typically to identify structural resonances and/or assure test article can survive in given environment. It is important and mandatory to do vibration testing for testing the mechanical reliability of articles. In this thesis work a linear power amplifier fed electrodynamic shaker is utilized to perform vibration control. For simulation purpose the mathematical model of the electrodynamic shaker is used. Closed loop control scheme is implemented to reproduce a specified acceleration profile at the shaker table close to the device under test. In this thesis two controllers, sinusoidal and random acceleration controllers are implemented. The sine acceleration controller is first implemented in analog domain then it is converted to digital domain. For sinusoidal controller tracking filter is also implemented. Then the random vibration controller also implemented using power spectral densities. The two controllers are tested for different acceleration pro |
