This thesis describes two methods for feeder reconfiguration, first one is tree search approach and second one is heuristic search technique. Tree search approach is basically exhaustive search approach in which all possible trees are calculated from a given meshed network. The heuristic search approach taken is to set up a decision tree to represent the various switching operation available, a best-first tree searching strategy. based on heuristic is used to evaluate the various alternatives and transformer overload, voltage problem are quickly eliminated as well as system power loss is minimized, if possible.en_US
