Now a days customer service support is becoming an integral part of many multinational manufacturing companies. These companies generally have a customer service department that provides installation, inspection and maintenance support for their customers. For this purpose a help desk service centre is usually established to answer frequently encountered problems from the customers. In traditional help desk service centers, the identification of fault relies heavily on the expertise of the service support engineers. Since it is often a burden to the company to train and retain a pool of expert service engineers, therefore to overcome this problem and burden on the company, a model of "AN INTELLIGENT ON-LINE MACHINE FAULT DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM" has been proposed and implemented using vibration signals of machine. It is having a web-based interface for accepting user input parameters of machines and these input parameters are then processed and fed to neural network to develop a case based diagnostic system to find out the cause with which machine is sufferingen_US
