Abstract: Induction machine is the most preferred machine for general purpose due to its simple and rugged structure, low maintenance and high reliability. Some industrial applications require speed control of the induction machine that can be done through electronic converters. The output of converter contains harmonics. The behavior of the machine when operated in conjunction with these converters is quite different from when fed from a sinusoidal source. Different circuit topology and control strategies have been developed for the reduction of harmonics from the output waveform of the controllers. The multi-inverter topology based on phase shifted triangle carrier technique is one of the new developments in this area, in which two or more sinusoidal pulse width modulated inverters are connected in parallel or in series/parallel combination. The effective carrier frequency for N converters connected in parallel increases to N.fc and at the same time, the harmonic and total harmonic distortion of the current and voltage reduce considerably. In this dissertation, multi-inverter system based on phase shifted triangular carrier technique has been developed and simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The performance of a 7.5 kW induction machine driven by multi-inverter system has also been analyzed
