Authors: Prasad, Jagdish
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;DATABASE CREATION;POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM;GRASS ROOT SYSTEM PLANNING
Issue Date: 2001
Abstract: The distribution systems in country are not developing in a planned programme, resulting in uneconomical utilization of fund; and poor services to the consumers. Since distribution system network forms the largest portion of the total power system, it is important to have adequate grass root system planning, analysis and monitoring. A good database management system will give up to date information about load. Up to date information of load will lead efficient services to consumers and efficient utilization of power The dissertation title 'PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND DATABASE CREATION FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM ' is a software application program that has been developed to assist in managing distribution data, performance evaluation of distribution system and making electric billing. The performance evaluation of distribution system includes voltage profile of feeders, loading of feeders, distribution losses, spare capacity at the pole for addition to consumer load in future. The dissertation has been developed using ORACLE7 as the RDBMS and DEVELOPER/2000 as the front-end tool
