dc.description.abstract | The introduction of computers in the health care systems is a must to upgrade medical services and to support telemedicine. Since the hospitals are getting more and more overcrowded due to uncontrolled population and natural disasters, so the health care system needs an urgent upgradation. This can be achieved by the computerization of the medical services. In the computerized medical information system, different departnients of the hospital can directly be linked and can be made global. The beauty of such system will be that the physician from any department of the hospital can access the data of the patient. For seeking advice from a doctor out side the hospital patient's data can be accessed through e-mail or Internet facilities if available. The work has been carried out in dissertation to handle large database at centralized level, which will be helpful in medical research, signal processing, image processing, future predictions and future planning of the health care services. This computerized medical information system is used for supporting telemedicine,Since the Oracle along with developer2000 provides the strongest security of the database, it has been used as the supporting tool to process the patient data in this dissertation. | en_US |
