Issue Date: 2001
Abstract: An algorithm is developed for order reduction of high order nonlinear system to a second order nonlinear. system. Then an PID controller designed to control the second order nonlinear, system using Model Reference Adaptive. Control Technique..'' The controller drives the difference between a process response and desired model output to a zero. Lyapunov stability theory is. used to analyze asymptotic stability of the error system and to obtain the controller tuning rules. The uncertain nonlineaities are assumed to be .bounded by a known constant or a function of the plant output and its derivative. The disturbances in the system are assumed to be bounded by'a known parameter.
