Issue Date: 2001
Abstract: In the present work the performance of Induction machine, which is fed by current source inverter is investigated. The converter and inverter both are operated in PWM mode to make input and output current sinusoidal. The machine is modelled using dq axis transformation. The steady state and transient performance of the drive is investigated for traction load. Scalar control method for obtaining the speed control is used. The control strategy is based on the concept of controlling the speed of induction motor and the de link current
