In this dissertation evaluation of the performance of semi-integral reinforced concrete bridge under seismic loading has been done. Two common types of structural form has been taken as representative bridge for the study. The effect of different parameters like span ratio, pier height ratio, inclination of pier and different site conditions on the overall response of the bridge structure have been investigated. One typical semi-integral reinforced concrete solid deck slab bridge with two intermediate pier ,inclined to the deck ,is taken as the first case. Different analysis methods have been used to get the seismic response of different member. In the second case a semi-integral reinforced concrete box girder bridge having two intermediate bent is taken for performance evaluation using Push over analysis. The performance point using ATC-40 method has, been determined and bent column forces at performance point have been calculated. The effect of unequal height of bent columns on the performance point and column force has been investigated. Time history analysis was also performed to check the applicability of Push Over analysis for this type of bridges with unequal bent column height. Effect of equivalent spring stiffness of the foundation has also been investigated in this case.en_US
