Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: In this dissertation work, an attempt is made to study the transient stability of a multi-machine system using Electro Magnetic Transient Program (EMTP, PC version 1987 release) The dynamics of automatic voltage Regulator, Power System Stabilizer and Governor and Turbine is considered in the study. The loads are modelled with constant impedance representation as well as with nonlinearity due to voltage variation of the system. For this purpose a 3-machine, 9- Bus system is taken and results are presented along with discussions
