Title: SIMULATION ' AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF A HIGH PERFORMANCE INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVE
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;HIGH PERFORMANCE INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVE;INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVE;MOTOR DRIVE SIMULATION
Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: The dissertation describes the simulation and performance of high performance induction motor drive based on field oriented control. The various conventional schemes for speed control of induction motor and their advantage over DC drives are 'discussed in chapter-I. Different types of inverters are also described in the same chapter. In literature section, the work done on field oriented control technique is reviewed. The basis of field oriented control and its implementation using different inverters is discussed in chapter-2. The transient analysis of the induction motor drive is dealed in chapter-3. The space phasors are used to describe the dynamic model of the machine. Simulation and performance evaluation has, been done in chapter-4. Conclusion and scope for further work are given in chapter-5. In appendix `A', the parameter plane synthesis method and frequency scanning technique have been discussed. The appendix `B' deals with the various parameters of the induction moter drive used for simulation.
