dc.description.abstract | This study deals with the experimental investigation on glass fiber modified structural properties of structural concrete. Alkali resistant glass fibers are used in this investigation. Effects of these fiber addition on the compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength, load-deflection behaviour and stress-strain behaviour under uniaxial compression of M50 grade concrete (62 MPa at 28 days age) are studied. The fiber content varied from 0.0% to 2.0% by weight of binder content. Workability of wet mix is found to be reduced with increased fiber content. Significant improvement in some of the structural properties has been observed due to inclusion of glass fibers. | en_US |
