Abstract: With the advancement of science and technology more complicated and costly structure are being constructed now a days like underground structure and also high rise . Hence more exact analysis should be carried out for these structures. In this investigation, the seismic ground analysis is being carried out with due regard to pore pressure generation during the seismic motion„ computer program has been made for the analysis. The program is the modified version of the "sires" which can now compute the seismic ground response with due consider the excess pore pressure generation during the seismic motion. The analysis described here has two part, in first part pore pressure generation has been carried out by making some modification in the Seed and Idriss method. Then with due considering pore pressure generation, the determination of seismic /temporal distribution of seismic ground response is calculated. The comparisons has been made by using the variation in some parameter in the two case, case 1 in which only static pore water pressure is considered and case 2 in which the excess pore water pressure during the seismic motion has been taking care off. The results show the expected behaviour, which shows the credibility of the analysis. Liii
