Recent-year-s—have—witnessed—a—rapi-d increase irTlhe use or computer softwares by construction industry for the design and drafting. The availability of standardised software packages has increased manifold and new users enjoy a wide variety of off-the —shelf options. In this dissertation, a software package for concrete mix design has been developed. The mix designs are based on IS:10262-1982, 1S:456-2000 code provisions and ACI method recommended by AC1 committee 211. The package eliminates the cumbersome procedures of referring to charts, tables etc. for mix design. The programs are written in C language. The software is interactive, user friendly and easy to modify. The input is minimal. The package can help designer to make more rational and efficient design. Some test problems have also been illustrated. The mix proportions so obtained from the package have been confirmed by casting 150 mm cubes and testing them in laboratory.en_US
