Abstract: Condensers are used for a wide range of applications, such as power plant, refrigeration and other industrial applications. Now a day the multicomponent condensation has a very great role in any industry. It covers a wide range of industrial applications. Condenser is part of almost every industry. Present study is an attempt to analyze its performance for given operating conditions. In this dissertation, model for multicomponent condenser is developed. An algorithm for the steady state simulation of this model is presented. A mixture of three components is considered here, although in this model, a generalized model of any number of components is presented here. Variations of different parameters are studied along the length of condenser as well as according to degree of condensation. In this study we have taken that as the length of condenser changes, the heat transfer coefficient of condensate film is also changes. So heat transfer coefficient of condensate film is variable. Finally, the algorithm is tested for simulating a mixture of given known properties, and the physical consistency of the obtained results is analyzed.
