Within the scope of the two-phase gas/solid flow the processes of pneumatic transport are mostly complicated. Dilute phase pneumatic conveying is widely practiced for conveying fine and non-cohesive materials. In this study, the design of the dilute pneumatic conveying system is carried out for the estimation of pipe diameter for a given flow rate of solids and particle diameter. Using computer aided analysis three case studies have been chosen. First, dilute phase conveying of styropor (spherical) particle. Second for dense phase conveying of cement and light ash. One special case of a heat sensitive material (polythene) has been taken. Energy analysis has been carried out for all the above cases.en_US
