|dc.description.abstract||Urbanization is an evolutionary process, and it is also a dynamic phenomenon. Urbanization not only leads to an increased impact on the environment but also its surroundings. City as a whole tends to experience problems related to social, physical, cultural and environmental in the process of urbanization. Infrastructure facilities both physical & social also become a prey due to the challenges of rapid growth in the urban system. In addition to this, urbanization creates an imbalance in the development of urban centers. In order to solve the problems, which are developed in the process of urbanization, evolving and implementation of scientific sustainable development plan is inevitable. Sustainability is a way of examining and solving the present problems in the perspective of the future. Sustainable development is a concept, which aims at improving the quality of life. Sustainable development involves in solving the short-term problems while ensuring long-term sustainability. According to Brundtland Commission, sustainable development advocates �â� � "Meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their demands". A sustainable city means improving the quality of life in a city, include socio-economic, physical, ecological, cultural, political, and institutional -components without leaving a burden on future generations....||en_US|
