Therefore if we contend by definition that housing should ensure I, 1(1 residential satisfaction and in design should help achieve it, then like other designed products, it should be accompanied by some sort of a guarantee to back it by a scheme of after sales service, that helps achieve its original objective. In other4ordS, ,the physical task and social responsibility of development authorities and local, bodies does not culminate with 'theMere provision of housing;' but' goes 'on to maintain it in a habitable and socially'acceptable condition in the post occupancy period.
