dc.description.abstract1valuation of seismic (dynamic) bearing capacity of soil has received very little research effort owing to complexities involved. The present study aims at evaluating seismic bearing capacity factors and thereby seismic (dynamic) bearing capacity by Richards et al. (1993) method. The seismic (dynamic) bearing capacity so obtained has been compaired with those obtained experimentIly. It has been found that dynamic bearing capacity factors given by Richards et al. for evaluating dynamic bearing capacity of footings does not appear to be suitable for practical use as todayen_US
