dc.description.abstract | The development and experimental performance evaluation of a microprocessor based variable speed, constant frequency (VSCF) generator is discussed in this dissertation. A dc motor is used and speed of the motor is changed by conventional armature and field control to realise the speed variation of the prime mover. A convertional synchronous generator is used for generation of electric power. The dissertation contains 5 chapters. In chapter 1 the available literature on the subject has been reviewed. In chapter 2 theoratical . discussion on various schemes for variable speed constant frequency generation have been discussed. Chapter 3 gives hardware and software details of the developed scheme. In chapter 4, the various waveforms of signals and results of experimentation have been presented. Chapter 5 gives the conclusion and scope for further work. The reference relating to work in this field is given in the back. | en_US |
