Digital,d6ta transformation is a very important tool in the development of digital image processing. As the development cf fast processing computers is increasing at a rapid rate and the need for the reduction in processing time of the image arises, digital data transformations has been proved to be.of immense help because it reduces the number of computations on the transformed image as compared to the original one. The principal objective of transformation technique is to convert a given image in a new structure so that image processing operations are easier to apply and at the same time, the number of computations involved are reduced considerably. The work is mainly focussed on the generation of various transformed images. The transformation techniques used in this work for the generation of transformed images are Disc'rete Cosine, Discrete Sine and Hadamard transform. On these transformed images, filtering operations are applied in spatial domain. The various filters used in this work are, Laplacian, Prewitt, Robert, Kirsch and Sobel. The data used in the study belongs to Patna town of Bihar state in India which covers the total ground area of about 59 Km2. Programs in °C.' language are written for various transformation techniques to -generate different transformed images. ISRO - VISION image processing system is used for displaying the outputs, and comparing the results.en_US
