dc.description.abstract | Computers have been used extensively in Civil Engineering for many years and software systems have been developed to assist with a wide variety of design tasks. The capabilities of Object Oriented Programming in recent years have made this programming paradigm a very promising toll for the development and implementation of large scale engineering codes, especially those requiring implementation on newest computer architecture.00P has tremendous potential in the engineering software business.00P allows programmers to build an application program by using existing or easy-to-build modules called OBJECTS. This dissertation is an attempt to utilize the power of OOP in Civil Engineering field. It has been brought out in this dissertation work how OOP concepts viz. inheritance , modularity, abstraction, encapsulation can be utilized in structural computer aided design system by presenting an 00P model for design of an example structure i.e. INTZE TANK. | en_US |
