Abstract: The current energy shortage places additional emphasis upon research to increase the efficiency of transportation, including aircraft. Since, for long-haul aircraft, theis 111111.111111410 approximately 40-50 percent of total drag, any sizable decrease in turbulent skin friction translates directly into an appreciable fuel saving. One of the various techniques that can be used for reducing this drag is use of flexible surfaces. The flexible surface is one which shows compliance and interact with fluid flow which passes over it. This interaction may lead/ to flow stabilisation and drag reduction. Despite many relationships available in literature for mean velocity distribution in turbulent boundary layer (TBL) over rigid surfaces, till now no such relationship in available for flexible surfaces. The present study is an attempt to obtain velocity distribution over flexible surfaces in case of different flow.....
