dc.description.abstract | In this dissertationAattempt has been made to analys-g the skew slab bridges by finite element method using eight noded isoparametric serendipity element. In the finite element formulation the Mindilin plate bending theory has been used which partially in corporate the shear deformations. Software developed on the basis of above formulation can be used for any skew angle and aspect ratio. Seven types of I.R.C. loadings have been incorporated in the programme and also the automatic load nlovementfacility have been provided, so that wheels can take any position on the slab. But due to the paucity of working time in NCF, the analysis is done for I.R.C. class AA wheeled loading. On the basis of this limited analysis certain guideline for the quick analysis for skew slab bridges has been recommended | en_US |
