Issue Date: 1995
Abstract: The developement & experimental performance evaluation of a pP based three phase AC Regulator feeding R, RL and AM load has been discussed in this dissertation. It contains 7 Chapter. In chapter 1 the available literature on the subject has been reviewed. In chapter HI, various aspects of terminal voltage control of an Induction motor have been discussed. In chapter III, ac. voltage regulator is discussed in detail. Different configurations, their requirements and comparative performance are given. Three phase star connected controller which is used in the present work is described in greater details. In chapter -IV, the complete hardware of the present scheme is described in detail. The design of power circuit, microprocessor based firing control circuit, pulse amplifier circuit and feedback circuit are also given in this chapter. Chapter V gives the compete software implementation. The various subroutines, used are also developed in this chapter Chapter VI gives the experimental results and the performance of the drive in open loop, as well as, in closed loop. In Chapter VII suggestions proposed to improve the system performance are given.
