dc.description.abstractMuradnagar town was named after Syyaid Murad Ghazi who was Auranzeb's brother. It was a camping place of his army and remains of the Pukhta Sarai are still to be seen. Muradnagar developed with Pukhta Sarai as its epicenter the early development was concentrated mainly around the pukhta Sarai. In 1971 Muradnagar had a population of 13,985 the development was concentrated mainly along the main bazaar road.Gradually the town has expanded in the west & South direction (along the bus stand & station road). By 1991 Muradnagar had a population of 44, 442. The municipal area extendes from ordnance factory in east to Delhi Mahar Pariyonja road in west and along Ravali road in the North to Nai Abadi area in the south. On west & South side there is large amount of land available for future development........en_US
