Title: AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF MEAN FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF RADIAL TURBULENT FLOW BETWEEN PARALLEL PLATES

Issue Date: 1986
Abstract: The characteristics of radial turbulent flow between parallel plates had been recently investigated (1) without varying the parameter D/d i.e the ratio of the plate diameter and the supply pipe. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of D/d on the mean flow characteristics (viz. pressure, velocity and skin friction) of the radial turbulent flow between parallel plates. The data obtained during the study have been analysed in the same manner as has been done in the previous study (1). All the three mean flow characteristics, viz. pressure, velocity and skin friction seem to be affected significantly by the parameter D/d.
