Title: COMPUTER CONTROLLED SIGNAL PROCESSING & ANALYSIS USING 'DSP
Authors: Sheel, Vikas
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;COMPUTER CONTROLLED SIGNAL PROCESSING;DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING;DSP ANALYSIS
Issue Date: 1993
Abstract: As the title of the dissertation suggests, the objective of this work was to develop a user interactive software to provide the user with some basic Digital Signal Processing (DSP) tools. The processing system used for DSP was a DSP kit (Vinytics VDSP-10), housing the DSP chip TMS32010 (by Texas Instruments) and the system hosting the software developed was an IBM-PC or any of its compatibles. The implementation phase involved development of a communication software between the DSP kit and the HOST system, the DSP routines developed in TMS32010 assembly language and an interactive user interface at the HOST end. The processor system acts as a SLAVE and the HOST system as a MASTER system as it is on receiving a command from the HOST system that the processing system takes any steps to execute that command.
