Title: SOFTWARE FOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS
Authors: Singh, Subhash Chandra
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS;PID TYPE;MATHEMATICAL APPROACH SYSTEMS
Issue Date: 1993
Abstract: In this dissertation, different type of processes are introduction, a plant/process of second order is considered as basic unit, which is connected in series compensation form with various mentioned temperature controllers viz. Proportional, Derivative, Integral, PI, PD AND PID type. With the help of theoretical and mathematical approach systems performance is studied and comparison is made between system perfomance with and without controllers. Considering different time domain parameters in transient and steady state response e.g. rise time, time constants, peak time, settling time, maximum overshoot, steady state error etc. System's performance as a whole is studied and a software in FORTRAN language is prepared to evaluate the legitimate parameters directly with help of computer. Result output will give a direct analysis for performance specification which we can use for the purpose of designing a temperature controller
