In the present work, stability investigation for three different induction machines has been carried out by computing the eigenvalues of the characteristic equations. These eigenvalues are also identified. The effect of the machine parameters on the stability and damping behaviour has been studied and presented. For this purpose mathematical model for the induction motor drive is developed and the drive has been analyzed in a. synchr9nously rotating reference frame. Perturbation equations are derived by linearizing the dynamic equations of the drive about a.n operating .point. State equations suitable for stability study are also developed.en_US
