dc.description.abstract | Bore hole driving is an indispensable part of any geotechnical investigation programme. One of the most important field tests in subsoil exploration namely Standard Penetration. Test is also performed inside a bore hole. In the present investigation s simple technique for advancing a bbre hole at a Paste rate has been designed and fabricated. Rate of boring under different subsoil conditions has been measured and the method proposed herein is found to be quicker in every strata compared to .the conventional boring method. SPT was also conducted in the bore hole by the cutter method at a field site. Natural moisture content variation in two bore holes one by the cutter method and the other by the conventional method has also been studied. The present proposed method can also be very handy for tube well boring and hand pump boring. These can be installed in a day or two if the boring is to be done in the range of 20-25m. | en_US |
