Title: OPTIMAL CANAL ALIGNMENT
Authors: Sharif, Mohd.
Keywords: CIVIL ENGINEERING;ROUGHNESS COEFFICIENT;ALIGNMENT;CANAL
Issue Date: 1993
Abstract: This study aims to find out the optimal cost of canal along an alignment and the effect of number of divisions of canals, discharge and the roughness coefficient on it. Mathematically it is a non-linear programming problem in which the cost of canal is minimized. A methodology for optimal cost of canal has been developed using numerical grid search technique. The results are presented in the form of curves
