Authors: Khan, Shafi Ullah
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;MICROPROCESSOR;AIR-CONDITIONED COACHES;MICROPROCESSOR BASIL MONITORING
Issue Date: 1992
Abstract: The work included in this dissertation deals with the design, development and testing of the microprocessor basil monitoring and control of air-conditioning system for-air-conditioned coaches on Indian Railways. The microprocessor control system should perform the following functions: Mon.ttor the temperature conditions inside the air conditioned coaches and control the same at the desired level , by switching ON/OFF the compressor or heater as the case may be. Monitor the critical parameters of the system and record the same. Detection, storage and display of certain faults in the coach. Retrieval of the stored data in the memory on a printer through an interface and memory decoder unit. Di. spl .y of some of the parameters continuously in tha- coach. The work includes design and development, of the system, software development, testing in the laboratory.
