Six Computer Programs are developed in FORTRAN Language f stability analysis of rock slopes on personal computers. The programs are capable of handling : i) Two-dimensional plane wedge failure, ii) Three-dimensional wedge failure. The programs take into account : i) Analysis for static condition, ii) Analysis for static & dynamic conditions, iii) Effect 'of submergence, iv) Effect of vertical tension cracks, and v) Condition of over topping. It is also possible to determine the optimum angle of rock slope in case of both plane and three dimensional wedge filure. A subroutine HELP is included in the programs for the ease of the users. The computer outputs are presented in the form of tables. As personal computers are readily available in design offices, the present work provides an efficient means for the engineers to analyse the problems of rock slopes and excavations.en_US
