Abstract: In the sewerage system normally the sewers are to be designed as partially hill so as to keep non pressure flow. The design of circular sewers partially full with known parameters as discharge CI, bed slope So and Manning' s roughness coefficient n are designed as though it were for full flow conditions by using Santo-Crimp Table and then to convert to partially full flow conditions by means of the curves for proportional flow. For a noncircular section no design method exists. In this dissertation equations and curves have been developed for different noncircular sections for different range of proportionate depths. Equations have also been developed to find the discharge flowing in the sewer for maximum and minimum allowable velocities enabling for test the section under these conditions. Thus the present investigation provides a complete me thodology for de sign to be adopted on a computer.
