Abstract: The increasing need for accuracy in Photorrrammetric methods has brought the question of distortion to the forefront as a problem of the first order. The methods and means for elimination of distortion are reviewed and the effect of not completely eliminated (residual) dis- tortion on mappingvkaerial triangulation is investigated.
