Abstract: The application method of water application to land especially, the agriculture land is important, because if the water is not applied properly, timely and in the required quantity, it may pose many problems. One of the many problem is waterlogging. An agricultural land becomes waterlogged, when the soil pores within the root zones of the crops get saturated and the normal circulation of air is cut off. Water logging affects the productivity and the fertility of the land and causes a reduction in the crop yield. This dissertation work focus on the Analysis for Identification of Waterlogged Area A Case Study of Tawa Project, and for easy handling and analysis of the data needed, it has been carried out by GIS. GIS provide the facilities to integrate and analyze multi disciplinary (source) data. GIS has diverse applications and is becoming popular in many fields/sector because of their capabilities. Tawa Project covering about 75881 Ha CCA in the village Ranipur, in Itarsi Tehsil of Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, has been selected for this study work. Most of the relevant Maps and Database (attributes) have been collected from the concerned offices entered into a GIS environment.
