For each intake, there must be Trash racks., and Stoplogs while. an Emergency Gate is provided as an additional member. The design of these components involves many considerations, experience and practical knowledge. In addition, the design procedure consumes a long period with incurring cost and valuable man power. In this dissertation an attempt has been made to consider the many aspects to be considered, calculate numerous values, analyse of several options and develop a more flexible, user friendly interactive computer program with high accuracy Since the time permitted was limited, the software Which was accessible for programming was older version with limited capabilititsy break down of the hardware, for a period of three weeks, limited hard disk space and many interruption led to limit the work to a greater extent than envisaged. Even 'the attempt made was successful in this scope of available time and facilities. The program can still be developd to include all the other minor components, construction details, maintenance procedure and make it more and more attractive with modern technology of screen display.en_US
