Abstract: Overall objective of a watershed management program is to utilize natural and human resources to achieve specific social and biophysical objectives. Usually this concept is applied to upstream catchments in a river basin. Watershed management has often been narrowly viewed as soil and water conservation program. Each watershed has typical characteristics and problems. In this dissertation work, a case study of Bah Bolon watershed in Indonesia has been taken up the with the following objectives: 1. To identify problems and possible solutions keeping in view the specific problems. 2. To illustrate procedure for soil loss estimation. 3. To predict hydrologic impact of deforestation. 4.
