dc.description.abstractThe objective of this dissertation is the development of an Expert 'System for Grouting in Rocks with special emphasis to underground constructions with.the intention of arriving at the types and methods of grouting to be taken up, the procedures, equipment required for various grouting operations, the materials required including additives and admixtures, grouting tests, pattern of grout holes and various specifications and recommendations relevant to specific geological conditions. This expert system `RGROUTXS' deals. with the above subject in detail and has' been developed on the basis of various IS Codes, books, journals, literature and handbooks.
