Abstract: First and foremost I offer my sincere gratitude to all of my supervisors, Prof. D. K. Mukhopadhyay, Prof. Stuart Burley and Dr. Premanand Mishra for their support and guidance. I would especially like to thank Prof. Mukhopadhyay who assigned me the project, showed me the field area of study and guided me throughout the dissertation with his knowledge and useful comments.
