dc.description.abstractStormwater management is a body of knowledge used to understand, control and utilize waters in different forms within the hydrologic cycle. A majority of work is done on surface and ground waters resulting from precipitation events. The • applications of the concepts, design methods and maintenance principles of stormwater management are evident in many diverse areas, such as agricultural drainage, water supply, flood control, lake management, urban runoff, forest management, and ecological impact studies. Indeed, the applications of stormwater management are vast with as many definitions of this subjects as its area of applications. In this dissertation, the Stormwater Management And Design Aid (SMADA) model has been used for hydrologic analysis (like estimation of hydrographs, detention pond design etc.) for the Nalota Nala Watershed (99.30 ha), which is located about 14 Kni. away from Dehradun, U.P. - India, on the way to Mussoorie....en_US
