dc.description.abstractThis dissertation is an attempt to develop a rule based expert system for instrumentation in concrete dams, which include gravity, arch and roller compacted concrete. The data base consists of information collected from various literature and discussion with the experts in the field• and the rule base (comprising of about 300 rules) derived from the data has been implemented by using the EXSYS expert system shell.
