dc.description.abstractSince water is one of the important inputs essential for the survival of human beings, therefore the economical use of this scarce resource and human behaviour for its use are of much significance. In this context it was imperative to highlight the necessity to study the farmers' irrigation management knowledge and their behaviour which also necessitated to study the socio-economic factors affecting the acceptance of agrotechnical 'know how' and innovations. In view of this fact the socio-economic factors affecting the farmers irrigation management knowledge as a determinent of farm income were studied.
