dc.description.abstractGood management of water has always been recognized as an Lmportant component of successful irrigation all over the world. Irrigaion water is considered as prime limiting factor in crop production. Sound operation of an irrigation system. is a pre-requisite for optimum use of irrigation water. Quite often many irrigation systems have failed to deliver the promised goods to the maximum po-ssible extent. This can be ascribed to unscientific operation, • inadequate micro-distribution system, faulty water distribution methods, improper irrigation scheduling etc. With the above consideration in mind, a case study has been undertaken for 'Kraseio Irrigation project, ThaiJ4nd'. • An evaluation has been done on the working of the existing system of the operation for irrigation water management in this. project....en_US
