IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERACTIVE DATA MANAGER SOFTWARE, ANNIE, FOR HYDROLOGICAL MODELLING OF WATER RESOURCES PROJECTS

Abstract

Every hydrological model requires a long data card in. a specified format and in a specified order. The data card can be prepared by some of the commonly available editors and packages like NE, EDIT, WORD STAR etc. Checking for possible errors in the data card- is difficult and analysis of data is not possible. However, small quantity of data can be handled by some packages like.LOTUS and dBase etc. but handling huge data is not possible. In the present dissertation attempt has been made to handle huge quantity of data effectively. For this purpose a data manger known as ANNIE-, developed by U.S. Geological Survey has been used.
