Title: TURBULENCE CHARACTERISTICS OF ROUGH OPEN CHANNELS
Authors: Kumar, Sushil
Keywords: CIVIL ENGINEERING;RESISTANCE LAW;TURBULENCE CHARACTERISTICS;ROUGH OPEN CHANNELS
Issue Date: 1973
Abstract: A few characteristics of turbulent flow in open channels with very rough boundary have been investigated by means of a combination of a. total head tube with a strain gauge type pressure transducer. Velocity distribution and resistance laws have been suggested which can be used for the flow over rough boundaries. Also, Relative intensity of turbulence, Auto-correlations and Macro-scale of turbulence have been worked out and compared with existing information
